As we work together to stop the spread of COVID-19, we are faced with particularly trying times, the likes of which we have never seen before. Our lives changed virtually overnight and that has left some feeling unsettled and unsure about the future.
As we face physical distancing from our workplaces, our schools and universities and even from our own loved ones who may be at risk, it is important to ensure that we stay strong mentally. Social and emotional connections are an important part of this.
Mental health organisations and leaders have come together to launch #InThisTogether, as a national conversation that everyone can join in on, sharing practical tips online to support the mental health and wellbeing of all Australians. Take a look at this video #InThisTogether with some practical tips to stay connected.
We could all do with a little extra support during this time. We recommend utilising the free health services which you can find on the governments “Head to Health” website which has links to many mental health providers. Let’s be kind, stay connected, check in with each other and encourage people to seek professional support when they need it.
